The State Service Center wants to close 35 local service offices in the country. The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) is now demanding that the closure be stopped.
"The State needs to take responsibility for providing services related to its own operations", SALAR writes and continues:
"The local offices are important, especially for those who are farthest from the labor market or live with a disability".
SALAR urges the government to allocate additional funds to save the operations.
In total, there are 148 service offices in the country. At the service offices, you can get help with authorities such as the Tax Agency, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Employment Service.
