The attack on Saturday was carried out near a large shopping center, called Karout, in Beirut's suburb Baabda, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA. One person was confirmed dead and about 15 people were injured in the attack.
The target of the attack was an abandoned building that housed a car sales company, reports AFP reporters on the scene.
The air raid was not preceded by any warning from Israel, according to NNA.
Rising Death Toll
The southern suburbs of Beirut have been the main target of Israeli attacks since the fighting intensified on September 23. More than 1,900 people have been killed in the conflict, according to figures from Lebanon's Health Department and independently verified by AFP.
At the same time, Israeli airstrikes were ongoing at the Jousieh border crossing between Lebanon and Syria, said Filippo Grandi, head of the UN refugee agency UNHCR.
"Even fleeing (and taking care of those who flee) is becoming difficult and dangerous as the war continues to spread," he wrote on X.
Suspected Arms Smuggling
Border crossings have previously been attacked by Israel, accusing Iran-backed Hezbollah of transporting weapons from Syria to Lebanon through border crossings.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the border crossing was hit twice on Saturday.
On Friday, more than 50 people were killed in Lebanon in Israeli attacks, according to local authorities.
