Twelve of the regime's soldiers have been killed in a series of suicide attacks in northwestern Syria, according to the British-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR).
According to SOHR, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an extremist movement sprung from al-Qaeda, is behind the attacks, which are the most extensive in the region since last September.
Terror-listed HTS controls territory in parts of the provinces of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama, and Latakia.
