Data protection authorities in, among others, South Korea, Italy, and France have requested information from Deepseek's owner about how the AI robot uses personal data.
In Italy, the authority has, among other things, requested which data Deepseek has used and uses to "train" the model, and to what extent users are informed about how their data is used.
The French equivalent also states that it will ask questions to Deepseek to better understand how the chatbot works and potential risks related to personal data protection.
