Motorhome with 130 Kilos of Drugs Seized in Sweden, Two Charged

A car filled with 130 kilos of amphetamine valued at around 27 million kronor was found at a vehicle inspection. Now, two individuals are being prosecuted for extremely serious drug smuggling.

The incident occurred in December 2024 outside Hörnefors in Umeå municipality at a vehicle control.

In the vehicle, almost 130 kilos of amphetamine was found stored in different places. The amphetamine is estimated to have a street value of 27 million kronor.

In the car, a man and a woman were traveling, who are now being prosecuted for extremely aggravated drug smuggling and extremely aggravated drug offense at Umeå court.

The man and woman are citizens of Germany and Italy, respectively, and are now being deported. They are suspected of having transported the narcotics in a motorhome from Germany, via Denmark and into Sweden over the Öresund Bridge.

A man, residing in the Stockholm region, is being charged with aiding and abetting extremely aggravated drug offense. He is believed to have warned about police controls via a surveillance vehicle.
