The winning numbers were 11–4, 12–10, 11–6 and thus Möregårdh is ready for the round of 16. He will play on Friday.
"I played very well today. Jonathan and I could have just as easily stayed in Scandinavia and played this match, we know each other very well. I see that there are a lot of Swedish fans here too, very happy to see that," says Möregårdh in SVT's broadcast.
On Wednesday, Kristian Karlsson also played for a place in the round of 16 in the singles tournament, but Taiwanese Lin Yun-ju proved too difficult. The Swede lost 0–3 (8–11, 3–11, 6–11).
