The power line connecting Moldova and Romania has been partly financed by the United States. Now the government in Chisinau is accepting an American proposal to name it the “Trump Liberty Line.”
"It was the US embassy's proposal, and the government has no objection to it," spokesman Dumitru Ciorici told AFP.
During Trump's second term, he has put his name and face on everything from passports and money to Bibles and buildings.
In addition to the power line in Moldova, which is expected to be completed in 2032, a park in neighboring Romania's capital, Bucharest, is also set to be renamed after Trump following a digital vote. However, some claim the vote was rigged, AFP writes.
