At the meeting, which was held on Thursday, the Liberal leader expressed understanding for those party members who do not want to approach the SD.
"They have many members who do not see me as Swedish," she says, according to SVT News.
She adds that it is not a dream solution to welcome the SD into government in exchange for substantive policy, but that the party must choose a side before the autumn elections in order to be able to overcome the parliamentary blockade.
"This wasn't my first choice, nor was it my second choice. But it's the choice I stand for today."
