During the debate, Mohamsson was asked whether she regrets the famous hug she gave Åkesson in connection with the Liberals' decision to allow the Sweden Democrats into government this spring.

I really want to hug you. Should we hug? said Åkesson, after which the party leaders embraced in the Aktuellt studio.

The debate was about Åkesson's advice against voting for the Liberals if the party had not reached 3.5 percent in the opinion polls with ten days left until election day - that is, on Thursday.

"I think it can benefit the Liberals. It makes the Liberals relevant, that you have to consider whether to vote for the Liberals or not," Åkesson said earlier during the debate, before the hug.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it has started some kind of movement and that we will soon see an increase for the Liberals in the near future.

Mohamsson, who has described herself as the only one in her bloc who believes in the Tidö Project, responded that she wants to focus on what she describes as "the big threat" - a red-green government.

If you want to increase the effect of your vote, you need to do the math that the Liberals are needed, says Mohamsson.
