Instead of the requirement to have been in Sweden for eight years, the fast track should be able to grant citizenship after five years. Exactly what qualifies a person for the fast track must be investigated in conjunction with the Security Service.
If, for example, you start a company or perhaps learn the language very quickly. Or if you have made a particularly valuable contribution to Sweden, for example, started an organization against honour killings. Then it is reasonable that you should be able to become a citizen a little faster than others, Migration Minister Johan Forsell (M) told the newspaper.
With that said, we will of course never compromise on safety.
