Minnesota's Swedes strong against Hedman's Tampa

Minnesota's Swedish center Joel Eriksson Ek equalized to 1–1 and then Tampa's dominance was over for the night in the NHL. Minnesota won in the end with 5–3 at home, partly thanks to Filip Gustavsson in goal saving 28 shots.

The win is Minnesota's sixth in the last seven matches, a good start to the season. The Swedish center's 1-1 goal was a product of Norwegian Mats Zuccarello's pass to Russian Kirill Kaprizov, who laid a pass diagonally backward to Eriksson Ek, who could send it up into the net. Kaprizov leads the scoring league after ten, out of approximately 80, played matches this season.

In Tampa, defenseman Victor Hedman made two assists.

On Friday evening, Calgary and New Jersey also met, in a match that was goalless for a long time. But after more than 54 minutes, Calgary broke the zero for Jacob Markström in New Jersey's goal, a goal where Calgary's Rasmus Andersson got an assist.

Shortly after, 28 seconds later, Calgary made it 2-0 and later 3-0 in an empty net when Markström was replaced by an extra outfield player. Despite the Swedish goalkeeper stopping 29 shots, it wasn't enough for a win.
