Just in time for Midsummer Eve, a high-pressure ridge is moving in over Sweden and for the most part, it will be fair weather and a lot of sunshine. In true Midsummer spirit, some rain is also expected to move in.
It is not possible to rule out rain showers in the afternoon and evening, especially in Norrland, says Lind.
The area most affected by the rain will be southern Norrland, where it can also be windy with strong gusts of wind during the night towards Midsummer Day.
That's where the most amounts will move in and it will be a more intense rain, so you will be affected if you are celebrating all night.
Götaland and Svealand, on the other hand, are spared from rain and will have temperatures between 20–23 degrees during the weekend. While the temperatures in Norrland are around 15 degrees.
The rain that moves in can persist in the northern parts of the country during Midsummer Day, but the low pressure seems to be moving away by Sunday.
In central and southern Sweden, the Midsummer Eve weather seems to be holding up all weekend.
