The prosecutor believes that Borg Høiby is guilty of rape, assault and molestation, and that he should be sentenced to more than seven years in prison.

Rape can leave lasting traces and destroy lives," prosecutor Sturla Henriksbø says in his motion.

It changes trust and affects later relationships. That is why rape is considered one of the most serious crimes in the criminal code.

Henriksbø presented his request together with police prosecutor Andreas Kruszewski on Wednesday.

Høiby continues to deny the most serious charges, including four counts of rape and assault.

Oslo District Court states that the investigation has provided insight into the "bonus prince's" party life and a destructive lifestyle with escalating drug use.

Henriksbø emphasizes how his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Nora Haukland, was characterized by violence and jealousy.

It is precisely the psychological abuse - the screaming, the terrible words, the threats - that the assault regulations are intended to capture, she says.

The trial of the "bonus prince" has been ongoing for six weeks, with 70 people testifying and 830 pages of text messages read. It is expected to conclude tomorrow, Thursday.

Marius Borg Høiby is 29 years old and the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway from a previous relationship with Morten Borg. Mette-Marit married Crown Prince Haakon in 2001.

The "Bonus Prince" is charged with 40 crimes, including assaulting two former girlfriends and four counts of rape. The rapes, according to prosecutors, took place while the victims were sleeping.

Høiby has admitted to certain crimes, but denies the rape allegations.
