At least 15 people have died after an explosion at a gas station in the town of Zahir in central Yemen.
The explosion led to a massive fire and up to 70 people are injured, 40 of them are in critical condition, according to the health department, which in the district is controlled by the Houthi movement.
It is still unknown what caused the explosion.
The region of Bayda, where Zahir is located, is controlled by the Houthi movement, which has been at war with Yemen's internationally recognized government since 2014.
The Houthi movement is also at war with Israel, with regular exchanges of fire between the two parties since the war in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023.
