Around 70 people have died in unusually powerful thunderstorms in northeastern India and neighboring Nepal.
The majority of them died in the Indian state of Bihar. Even in Nepal, lightning and thunder are said to be behind several deaths.
According to forecasts, heavy rain is expected to continue in Bihar over the weekend.
Last year, experts warned that climate change is responsible for an alarming increase in India. Around 1,900 Indians are killed every year by lightning.
