Sources told the AFP news agency that the investigation uncovered plans to strike "a museum in Paris and members of the Jewish community", but that no specific targets had been identified.

According to Le Monde, this concerns the Louvre, the world's most visited art museum.

The man, who is a Tunisian citizen, was detained on May 7. He is also suspected of having planned to join the terrorist movement IS "in Syria or Mozambique".
