Overnight Saturday, an injured man in his 50s was left outside the emergency room in Västerås.
On Sunday, Region Västmanland announced that he had life-threatening injuries and had been taken to the Academic Hospital in Uppsala, local media reported.
The suspect was arrested overnight Saturday and is now suspected of murder on probable cause.
