South Yorkshire Police were alerted on Saturday afternoon after a man entered an animal enclosure and was attacked by a tiger at a zoo near the English city of Doncaster.
The man was initially reported to be seriously injured. At 7:30 p.m., police confirmed that he had died.
The zoo was evacuated in line with established safety procedures, and the park will remain closed over the weekend, the zoo said in a statement.
