A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to twelve years in prison by the Court of Appeal following a shooting incident at Hagsätra square in southern Stockholm at the end of last year, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
In total, eight shots are said to have been fired in what is described as a gang-related settlement, but no one was injured.
Four of the plaintiffs were completely randomly selected individuals who just happened to be in his way, really. They are completely innocent, says to GP.
The 23-year-old could be arrested fairly soon after the event. In the district court, the man was sentenced to ten years in prison for attempted murder, reckless endangerment of others, gross unlawful threats, and minor drug offenses. But now the Court of Appeal is tightening the sentence with an additional two years in prison.
The man denies the crime and his lawyer states that the verdict will likely be appealed to the Supreme Court.
