The man in his 25s who was shot dead outside a mosque in Vivalla in Örebro in the middle of August had a threat against him, reports Ekot in Sveriges Radio. A 24-year-old man who is suspected of having ordered the murder is being sought abroad, the prosecutor announces at the same time.

He is detained in his absence, says prosecutor Mats Ihlbom to P4 Örebro.

According to the prosecutor, much indicates that the wanted person is abroad and they have "a good picture" of where.

A man was killed and another was seriously injured in the shooting. Just days before the act, the police had offered the murdered man help, but he declined.

We cannot allocate as many resources as possible if there is no willingness in return, an own motivation to get out of this, says Jonas Lundh, deputy local police chief in Örebro, to Ekot and adds:

We had no information that it would happen there and then.

Several people have been detained suspected of involvement in the murder.
