"We were alerted by a member of the public who found an injured man in his 30s outdoors in Alby. We can see that the person has been shot; he is receiving treatment in an ambulance," says police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl.
The police cannot say whether the man's gunshot wounds are life-threatening, but they note that he was conscious when found.
"It seems that he made it to the place where he was found under his own power," says Wikdahl.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offense. Police are otherwise silent, citing an ongoing operation.
"I am guided by the fact that the operation is ongoing and by what is happening in it, which means that I cannot say much more than that we are on site and working on the incident," says Wikdahl.
