A man was arrested during Friday night and later detained, suspected of attempted murder, after a shooting that occurred on Thursday evening.
He could be arrested within the framework of the operation. I do not have more information than that, says Jari Kalliorinne, duty officer at the police.
The incident occurred in a staircase in Flemingsberg, southwest of Stockholm, just before 8 pm. People in the vicinity heard bangs and alerted the police, who found two injured men in the staircase.
One of them was deemed to be shot injured, and both were taken to hospital, says Jari Kalliorinne.
It is unclear how old the detained man is. The injured men were reported on Thursday to be awake and able to speak when the police arrived at the scene.
