The incident occurred on Sunday at Trump's golf course outside Los Angeles. According to police, the man was seen moving around the area and documenting preparations for the president's visit a few days later.
During the arrest, ammunition was found in the man's pocket and a loaded pistol was found in his car. When his home was later searched, police found several weapons, bulletproof vests and notebooks with what were described as "disturbing statements."
In September 2024, when Trump was a presidential candidate, a 58-year-old man tried to shoot Trump at a golf course in Florida. The man has been sentenced to life in prison.
