Major detective prize may go to Håkan Nesser

Håkan Nesser and Kringlan Svensson. A veteran and a debutant have a chance to win the Swedish Crime Novel Academy awards for the year's best crime novels.

Håkan Nesser is nominated in the category of best Swedish crime novel with “The Fine Mesh”. There he competes against, among others, Cilla and Rolf Börjlind, Inger Frimansson and Sara Strömberg, whose Jämtland series about Vera Bergström has reached the fourth part.

In the category of best Swedish debut, K Svensson – the pen name of comedian Kristoffer “Kringlan” Svensson – with the book “Winterman’s Mysteries”. Also competing for the debutant prize are film director Daniel Alfredson and film director and author Alexandra-Therese Keining.

Loka Kanarp and Martin Jern can receive the Spårhunden children's and youth award for "The First Fall at Guldhöjden".

The award winners will be announced on November 30th at Eskilstuna Library.
