Anna-Karin Heijdenberg can probably breathe a sigh of relief. The biathlete looks set to secure the final spot at the Winter Games in Italy next month.

The 25-year-old - who did not qualify for Sunday's mass start, where Anna Magnusson came twelfth - had been competing closely with her national team colleague Johanna Skottheim for selection to the Olympics, the Swedish Biathlon Association announced after the World Cup in the Czech Republic.

"It's been a long process, from November until now. It's been incredibly even, maybe the most even I've ever been in," shooting coach Johan Hagström tells SVT.

There are many things to look at, but the overall picture has been the most important.

The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) must confirm the selection.

This is a nomination; it is SOK who selects the team - they are the ones who decide.
