Andersson will report to the Speaker on Tuesday at 11 a.m. on her assignment to explore the conditions for forming a government, according to a press release from the Riksdag (the Swedish parliament).
The exploratory mission was originally due to be reported on Monday, but Andersson asked to report on Tuesday instead, which the Speaker agreed to.
She can either ask for more time or submit a final report on her exploratory mission if she has managed to put together a complete government alternative.
After meeting the Social Democratic leader, the Speaker will discuss the next steps with the deputy speakers, according to the press release.
TT is seeking comment from the opposition parties. The Social Democrats and the Left Party have declined to comment.
The situation on the centre-left still appears deadlocked. Friday’s meeting on Lidingö did nothing to resolve the differences between the Centre Party and the Left Party. Andersson did not want to say after the meeting whether the two parties had moved closer to each other.
