He writes on social media after the leaders' half-hour-long conversation in Paris on Saturday, together with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
"We all want the war to end as soon as possible and in a good way", continues Zelenskyj and thanks Macron for arranging the meeting and Trump for being "resolute, as always".
The three agreed, according to Zelenskyj, to continue working together and maintaining contact.
Macron, on his part, calls for joint efforts to achieve "peace and security".
Before Zelenskyj arrived at the meeting, Macron and Trump had met and exchanged polite phrases about previous cooperation.
In front of the cameras, Trump also commented on the state of the world:
It looks like the world is a bit crazy right now, and we'll also talk about that.
The meeting was held ahead of the re-inauguration of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Saturday evening. The Paris visit is Trump's first foreign visit since he was elected president in November.
