Everyone who uses public transport to get to work can agree with their employer that the employer will cover that cost, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) said at a press conference in Norrköping.
According to Kristersson, this would mean that a family with two adults who commute by public transport would save up to 2,500 SEK per month, depending on what the monthly pass costs in their region.
"It will be more profitable to work, which in practice means lower taxation on work. At the same time, we are contributing to more people using public transport instead of private cars," Kristersson said.
