LKAB's mines in Kiruna and Malmberget were closed on Sunday, and employees had to gather underground. The reason was disruptions in the mobile network.

"The disruptions in the mobile network that affected LKAB on Sunday have now been resolved and operations were able to return to normal at 12 noon," writes Emilia Salmela, communications officer at LKAB, in a text message to TT.

The problems began on Sunday morning, reports NSD. All employees who were underground at the time gathered in one room.

"We will not comment further on technical details other than that the problems were connected to our telephony," Salmela writes to TT.
