"A people's movement in goodness and kindness." That's how host Linnéa Wikblad describes "Music Help," which starts tonight. People really care about each other, she says.

She is impatient but still calm. At 8:00 PM, the broadcast begins from the cage in Karlstad where she is locked up for a week together with her colleagues and comedians Assia Dahir and Hampus Hedström, the latter originally from Sunne.

Linnéa Wikblad, the regular host of “Morning Shift” on P3, is broadcasting “Music Help” live for the third year in a row. This year she has slept better than before and packed wisely.

I'm bringing some cuddly slippers with me, you're on TV and want to look good, but unfortunately I can't. Then you can miss a nice hoodie and sheepskin slippers.

Skinlessness

She is also prepared for the skinlessness that she knows she cannot defend herself against. She particularly remembers meeting the woman last year who told her story of how she was forced to give birth to her child who died in an Iraqi cave while on the run.

She also came close to dying herself during the coup.

Last year, the program raised 60 million kronor for maternity care, this year the theme is the right of all children to go to school. Linnéa Wikblad has high expectations for the people of Värmland.

There are probably assholes from Värmland too, but my feeling is that it is a very warm county.

“Get excited”

Her own task, as she sees it, is to "stir up engagement" but not to "break records."

"I think it leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth to think about records," she says.

If you don't reach last year's figure, should you be disappointed with all the people who have sold buns, hiked in the mountains, and taken ice baths to raise money?

In 2024, it was four-year-old Zeke's special dinosaur gun that made people open their wallets the most.

It can thunder in hundreds of thousands during one song – it's incredibly powerful.

Broadcast 24/7 December on SVT Play and P3, Swedish Radio.

This year's theme is the right of all children to education.
