Svahn won the latest classic sprint in the World Cup. But at Monday's press conference, she was the only one of the four selected Swedish sprinters who did not show up.
The reason is the brain fatigue she still suffers from after the concussion she sustained before the World Championships in Trondheim a year ago.
"We are trying to find a level that is manageable," says national team doctor Rickard Noberius.
Sprinting often involves long, intense competition days, a challenge when you need to minimize sensory stimulation.
"It's just a matter of limiting it as much as possible during competition days," says Noberius.
