The party received 17.2 in the exit poll, down 3.3 percentage points compared with the 2022 election result. According to the survey, SD has also been pushed down as the largest party on the Tidö side by the Moderates.

“A big change”
How has the fact that you have not been an opposition party affected voter turnout?
It's a new situation. We're not going to the election to change the government, but basically to continue with the same government. It's a big change. The challenge in this election is perhaps that there haven't been any major issues, says Kinnunen, who adds that SD "tends to be underestimated in the election."
SD's economic policy spokesperson Oscar Sjöstedt says it was tough to receive the exit poll.
If it lands in this way as the election shows, then we'll have to sit down and do some kind of analysis, he says.
Sjöstedt also notes that SD in TV4's survey "is at least the second largest party."
But if we lose it, well then it will be a double blow and it's a bit of a cold shower.
“First guess”
Before the polling stations closed, SD's second vice chair Linda Lindberg described the exit polls as a "first guess".
It's always exciting when it comes. It hasn't been entirely accurate in the last few elections. But it's still a pointer, after all, she says.
Linda Lindberg says that during the mandate period, the party has delivered on what it went to the polls for in 2022, such as getting "order on migration and criminal policy". But SD now, after four years of influence over the government, has a different role.
