It was just before midnight on April 14 last year that two young men were shot dead in a pedestrian tunnel in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg.
The men, aged 18 and 21, tried to escape, but were shot from behind and died. A 28-year-old man escaped unharmed through a hail of bullets.
In May, the district court sentenced a 24-year-old man to life in prison for double murder and attempted murder, a sentence now upheld by the Court of Appeal. Another man was sentenced to 15 years and 10 months for accessory to murder. That sentence also stands.
According to the police, the two victims had no connection to criminal networks. However, the man who survived is said to have had one, and according to the investigation, may have been the intended target.
