Despite Djurgården's shock opening with two goals in the first seven minutes (Bo Hegland and Kristian Lien), the Småland team fought back at the 3 Arena in Stockholm.
"We ran over them and then I don't know what happened," Bo Hegland told TV4.
18-year-old Charlie Rosenqvist scored his first Allsvenskan goal. After just under half an hour, Achraf Dari equalized to make it 2–2.
In the second half, Kalmar goalkeeper Jakob Kindberg kept the away team in the match. In the 85th minute, however, he had no chance. Then Lien headed in his second goal of the day and Djurgården has now started the Allsvenskan with two straight victories. In added time, Lien shot a penalty into the post.
Newcomer Kalmar has two straight losses.
