L already has an election promise to make primary and secondary schools screen-free. Now the party also wants to see an end to personal computers and iPads that students are free to use.
I grew up with computer labs and computers being rolled in when needed, we're going back to that a little more, says L leader Simona Mohamsson.
The party wants it to be written into the curriculum that personal computers may not be handed out.
L is also taking the initiative to hold talks about the Pisa crisis with the party group leaders on the education committee. However, the election is only four days away, and L is still at risk of leaving the Riksdag, but according to Mohamsson, the talks will take place “in the near future”.
The OECD's latest knowledge assessment, Pisa, has shown a historically poor result for Swedish 15-year-olds.
