"Anti-Semitism is growing in Sweden. The most serious thing is that Jewish students encounter hatred in school," says Liberal leader Simona Mohamsson at a press conference.
Among other things, the party wants hate crimes in school environments to be punished more severely than in other places. This concerns hate crimes in general, but according to Mohamsson, Jewish students are particularly vulnerable.
L also wants Sweden to deepen international cooperation to combat crimes with anti-Semitic links.
In addition, the party wants to see a public education campaign that will inform people about conspiracy theories, code language, memes and symbols used online to spread anti-Semitism.
The party also wants 10,000 students to go on remembrance trips to former concentration camps annually.
