"We need to do more to support parents against the online giants. This is not something that we, as politicians or as a society, can leave parents to deal with alone," says Minister for Gender Equality Nina Larsson (L).
The proposal includes four measures: a national advice line and chat; mandatory parental settings as the default on all new mobile phones and tablets; special support in healthcare for young people with social media addiction; and more resources for associations and organizations in civil society.
