According to Education and Integration Minister Mohamsson, the Tidö parties have previously agreed that SVT should not be solely responsible for the increased costs that arose when TV4 left the terrestrial network. The total is 192 million kronor for 2026.
Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand (M) has not yet commented on the issue, which she described in an interview with SVT as "difficult and complex". Mohamsson is now demanding a clear answer.
"I expect the Minister of Culture to act," Mohamsson says.
SVT announced on Wednesday that the public broadcaster needs to save 355 million kronor, which will affect its output.
