Leos Lekland could face 1 million kronor fine over safety deficiencies at two facilities

Leos lekland could face a penalty of 1 million kronor (about $95,000), according to the Swedish Consumer Agency, which has submitted an application to the administrative court.

Two facilities had serious deficiencies that were not addressed, Dagens Nyheter reports, citing the news agency Siren. The authority confirmed this to TT.

In 2024, Leos lekland was ordered to pay a penalty fee of 500,000 kronor (about $48,000) after a woman was seriously injured at a facility in Västerås. All facilities were then supposed to be repaired, but more than a year later, deficiencies remained in Luleå.

Leos lekland has also had financial problems and applied for reconstruction two years ago.
