Dadgostar, wearing the national football team's jersey, began her speech in Visby in front of around 800 listeners by comparing the political situation today with the summer of 1994. Even then, opinion polls pointed to a change of government to a social democratic-led government.
In the same way, today we see how more and more people have grown tired of Tidö's misrule. But it will soon end. Goodbye Tidö, says Dadgostar.
Warns of dissatisfaction
She regrets that the Center Party does not want to form a government with the other opposition parties if V is included.
Center leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist has now clearly stated that the goal for her and the Center Party is that the Left Party will not be needed, says Dadgostar.
Instead, they want to run a repeat of the January government's policies, with increased rents, weakened labor rights, and reduced taxes for the rich.
Dadgostar refers to the former S-led government that chose to cooperate with C and L.
Dadgostar indirectly warns the Social Democrats against forming a new government that does not pursue left-wing policies.
If voters don't notice that their vote makes a difference, that things are getting better, then dissatisfaction and distrust will grow, she says.
There is a majority
Dadgostar points out that SCB's latest survey showed that S, MP and V can reach a majority without C. According to her, there will be no left-wing politics without V in the government. S leader Magdalena Andersson has not, however, announced which parties she wants to cooperate with in government.
In the speech, the V-leader lists a number of the party's election promises, including equalizing the gender pay gap, implementing the largest housing reform in 30 years, and ensuring that the prices of food, electricity, and housing are lowered. And the latest promise - a baby allowance - is part of a large family package worth 16.5 billion kronor.
Billionaires pay
The baby benefit will be 15,000 kronor for those who have a child for the first time. The idea is to make the first time with a baby easier, for example so that parents can buy a stroller and a crib.
V's family package also includes an increase in child and student allowances by SEK 500 per month, which is an old proposal.
The idea is that the 16.5 billion kronor that the family package costs will be paid for with a new tax on the fortunes of billionaires.
Billionaires should contribute more. The billionaire tax will raise money for this and much more, says Dadgostar at a press conference.
