It is Birger Lahti (V), member of the trade and industry committee and the party's rural policy spokesperson, who is calling on Busch.

The background according to the Left Party is the request from Kiruna municipality and LKAB for "a clear and concrete state involvement in the move, for it to be feasible".

"Ebba must provide answers on how the government intends when it comes to responsibility for municipalities that are going on their knees in the wake of the green transition. LKAB's demands when it comes to the state's responsibility are justified", says Lahti in a comment to TT.

Earlier on Friday, Kiruna municipality and LKAB held a joint press conference about the new move that affects nearly 7,000 people.
