In TV4's "Election Poll", the Left Party leader is first asked whether the party insists that V must be in government to support it, to which she answers yes.
But when asked next about when she is prepared to depose the Social Democrats' party leader Magdalena Andersson, she answers:
No, but of course we won't do that and I don't think there will be new elections at all. There is no incentive for anyone, possibly the Centre Party, to do that. We will solve this.
"It is a misunderstanding. Our message stands as before, that is, that we will sit in government if our votes are necessary to form it," writes the party's press secretary Maria Carlsson to TV4 Nyheterna, adding that Dadgostar meant that V is prepared to "negotiate with other parties so that we do not end up in such a situation."
