V wants to raise the pension contribution to 18.5 percent and make the so-called gas in the pension system more generous, so that pensions increase more in good economic times.
An increased allocation to the system could provide up to an extra SEK 2,000 per month directly to today's pensioners, says Gabrielsson.
According to her, there is a majority among the parties for such a change. She wants to give the pension group two years to agree on it.

V's promises
The new V demand was put forward in connection with V presenting its election manifesto. The election promises in it have been known for some time.
Several of them are in line with the Social Democrats, such as abolishing the qualifying period deduction, increasing child benefits, and making dental care cheaper for everyone.
V also wants to index government subsidies to municipalities and regions, but does not think it is enough to simply increase subsidies in line with inflation. V also wants to go further when it comes to making unemployment insurance more generous.
Other V election promises include a women's pay raise, frozen rents, and permanently halving public transport prices.
V wants to finance its promises through, among other things, a bank tax and a billionaire tax. However, S leader Magdalena Andersson has rejected a billionaire tax.
