The Swedish duo fought bravely but trailed for most of the match. The French held on in a tight opening set (11–9) and then closed out the match with 11–7, 11–7.
For Anton Källberg, the adventure in Singapore is over. He was eliminated in the first round of the singles. Kristian Karlsson, however, is still alive in the tournament and will play a singles match against Taiwanese Lin Yun-ju later in the day.
Truls Möregårdh is also in action on Wednesday. He will face Danish Jonathan Groth.
