After two weeks of rehabilitation and seven missed matches, LeBron James could return to the court against Chicago Bulls in Saturday's NBA match.
The Los Angeles Lakers star suffered a groin injury during a match against reigning champions Boston on March 8.
Los Angeles lost the match against Boston and thereby broke a winning streak of eight matches that had taken the team to a second place in the western conference. During James' absence, they then lost three more.
But despite LeBron James being back in play on Saturday, and scoring seven points, Los Angeles lost again with 115–146.
This is the second time the star has suffered from this type of injury. In the 2018–2019 season, James missed 17 matches due to a groin injury. The 40-year-old James is the first player in history to reach 50,000 points in the NBA's regular season and playoffs.
