“We look forward to continuing tomorrow and hope to have more to share then,” said a U.S. State Department official.
This is the third round of talks between the countries.
The ceasefire between the two countries came into effect on April 17, but the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah is not formally part of it. Israel has continued to carry out attacks on what it claims is Hezbollah's terror infrastructure.
According to Lebanese authorities, over 400 people have been killed since the ceasefire began, several of whom are said to be children.
