The Swedish Armed Forces announced last week that Supreme Commander Michael Claesson has been invited to the meeting in Paris.
Behind the talks are France and the United Kingdom, who want to see a coalition of countries willing to participate in a security force to protect Ukrainian territory after a possible ceasefire agreement in the Russian invasion war in Ukraine.
Denmark is ready to assist the security force, says Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
Denmark will naturally contribute in the phase where there is a ceasefire or a peace agreement and, as part of the security guarantees, there is a need for European military capacity on the ground in Ukraine, he says at a press conference.
The Swedish government has previously stated that a Swedish peacekeeping troop in Ukraine is not ruled out.
France and the United Kingdom are leading the work on creating a new peacekeeping force for Ukraine.
Officials have said that it will consist of fewer than 30,000 soldiers and focus on air and sea defense. Ground forces will be kept to a minimum and not placed near the front line in eastern Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has previously demanded a deterrent force of 100,000-150,000 soldiers, with American participation.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced over the weekend that the country is considering sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.
Several countries have, however, previously said no to contributing troops, including Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Croatia.
