Lake Vättern is shrinking, at its lowest level in 23 years

Water levels in Lake Vättern are at their lowest level for April since 2003. The water level is currently 24 centimeters below the April average, reports SVT.

This corresponds to 452 billion liters of water.

This is because we had less precipitation during the winter and spring, says Jani Ruohola, forecast hydrologist at SMHI, to SVT.
