Lake Vättern is shrinking - the lowest level in seven years

Water levels in Lake Vättern are at their lowest April level since 2019. The water level is currently 24 centimeters lower than the average April level, reports SVT.

This is because we had less precipitation during the winter and spring, says Jani Ruohola, forecast hydrologist at SMHI, to SVT.

Corrected: In a previous version, the wrong number of years since the water level was so low was given.
