The Labour Court cancels all cases that do not have to be decided urgently. This is because the money is not enough.

During 2024, more than 370 cases were settled in the Labor Court, but this year there will be fewer, reports Lag & Avtal.

The reason is that the money is not enough. One reason for the budget bursting is that the Labor Court is replacing its outdated IT system with a modern one that has not yet been put into operation.

The IT system was included in the spring when the court applied for funds for the autumn budget from the government. The court proposed that the government should make an additional 6.6 million kronor available to them.

But they were rejected.

We got 4.1 million. Moreover, we applied for 40.8 million for 2026, but got 38.6 million, says Lars Dirke to Lag & Avtal.

The Labor Court handles cases including dismissals and whether industrial actions are unlawful.
