Hungary's decision to ban pride events receives sharp criticism from Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M), right in the middle of the ongoing EU summit in Brussels.
"Hungary is not doing many things right now, but is instead moving rapidly further and further away from the liberal Europe", Kristersson writes in a statement, where he also brings up Hungary's skepticism towards supporting Ukraine.
"The Swedish government continues to stand up for everyone's right to be who they are and love whoever they want. It's hard to understand how it can be so provocative for some. But if you don't stand up for Ukraine, you might not stand up for other people either", the Prime Minister writes.
